Tias Gloria, Antoñieta, Elda, and Maria are the ladies that serve the Lord through substituting for the house parents when they have their days off once a month and during the day when school is not in session.  They are indispensible and work seamlessly with the house parents, thanks to Norman’s great leadership.  May the Lord bless them all greatly.

Tía Miriam is our main substitute for the girls and fairly well works full time because of it.  She is bubbly, creative, and always ready to do whatever needs to be done.  For instance, when our staff had a retreat, I actually asked Tía Miriam to head up a “Welcome Back” dinner and program for the staff.  It was for 90 people, and she never batted an eyelash.  We are so very blessed.  Now bless her once again, Lord.

Tía Elena is the Rock of Gibraltar in the Homes.  On top of being the main cook, she is the Supervisor of the Household Staff, like the daytime sitter for the preschool kids and the lady that helps with the cleaning, and of course her assistant in the kitchen.  She and her husband moved with us from Guatemala City, so they are also missionaries to Monjas and serve with all their heart, soul, strength, and mind.

Tía Gloria is the assistant to Tía Elena in the kitchen.  Once a week, on Elena’s day off, Gloria is the main cook and handles it very well, having been well taught by Tía Elena.  They make a good pair and put out food for right around eighty people two meals a day.  (Breakfasts are cooked in each home by the older girls.)
