It’s Easy to Get Started!
Step 1: CONTACT our Sponsorship Director, Vanessa Priest, at shadowsponsor@gmail.com and let her know if you are interested in sponsoring a child (or children) or a home and she will link you to the child or home you would like to sponsor.
Step 2: Make Your Payment:
CHILD SPONSORSHIP: Payment
Please send your monthly checks of $30 per child to CHILDREN OF PROMISE – and be sure to put “Shadow of His Wings/James Project” in the memo – PLEASE DO NOT write your sponsored child’s name on the check:
HOME SPONSORSHIP: Payment
Home Sponsorship means that (just like in Child Sponsorship) you can enter into relationship. Home Sponsors enter into that relationship with a set of house parents!
We invite you, your church or business to sponsor a home at different levels of $300, 500 or 1000/per month and you will be able to correspond and get to know a set of house parents in a meaningful way!

Step 3: Enter into the Relationship!
The most important part of sponsorship is the RELATIONSHIP that you develop with the child(ren) or home you are sponsoring. Once your sponsorship is confirmed with Vanessa, you can immediately begin communication!
How can I communicate with my sponsored child or home?

A good rule of thumb regarding mail is to keep it to envelopes, largest of which being 10”x13”. Pictures, stickers and other flat items are welcome. Anything larger than that WILL be intercepted in customs and will cost us money to import into the country and be held up for additional time. Please be advised that mail takes 4 to 6 weeks to arrive.
HOME SPONSORS will be given the email of the House Parents they are sponsoring and are free to communicate at anytime.
You will receive cards and letters from your sponsored child or home! Feel free to communicate with Vanessa at anytime regarding ANY questions you have at any time.
Can I send a gift?
Gifts for Christmas or birthdays for your sponsored child or for the house parents (if you are sponsoring a home) are more than welcome. We do ask that they be reasonably priced, something under $15, for many good reasons. Gifts are brought to us through visiting missionary groups. Vanessa would let you know where to send your gift for it to be brought down to us. Please give plenty of lead time for this process to take place.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much of my sponsorship donation goes to my child/home?
There is NO administrative fee for sponsorship – so the $30 that is sent to Children of Promise or the Home Sponsorship gift – are both ENTIRELY used for the children and Homes.
What does my Sponsorship cover?
It costs about $200 per month for each child which means about $2500 (per home) per month to cover the overall expenses of the children that are in each home. These sponsorships cover a percentage of the costs of education (teachers, uniforms, school books, supplies, special activities, etc.), house parents, substitutes, food, clothing, dental/medical/optical/psychological care, administration, utilities, vehicles, gas, insurances, etc. The list is endless!
Each child is able to have 4 sponsors at $30=$120/month. If a home has 12 children that = $1440. Also, if the Home Sponsorships are complete - $1000.
Therefore-the goal is:
12 children@120/month=1440
Home Sponsorship =1000
2440 of the $2500 to cover the overall costs of the children that live in one home.
So sponsorship is a meaningful way for YOU to partner with US in helping run the home and provide for all their needs!
How will I know if my package/card is received?
Our Sponsorship Director, Vanessa, will notify you when the card/package arrives. You are also welcome to send an email letting her know that you are sending something, and we will be on the lookout for it!
Sponsorship is not only a meaningful way to give – it has ETERNAL IMPACT on the life of the children you are giving to. Your prayers and love mean so much to them – and can help break down the lies that tell each child that they are NOT loved or wanted.
You CHOOSING them in sponsorship gives them a great feeling of worth and value!
